Since the first time I opened Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, and Muse, I started developing a passion for graphic design. I started learning how to work Photoshop when I was 13 years old, and discovered InDesign, Illustrator and Muse when I started studying Industrial Design in 2016. These programs helped me create presentations, posters, websites, reports etc. The graphic design work I did for my study can be found under the courses and projects I partook in as well as on scrapjacket.com. After discovering this passion, I did an internship at the graphic design studio 'George & Harrison,' at which I was not only taught about the basics of graphic design, but more importantly, also about user centered design within graphic design. The internship showed me graphic design is not just about the aesthetics of a design, but mostly about what influence designs have on a potential user or viewer and how important design is when it comes to the marketing of a project. Unfortunately my work for George & Harrison can't be shown online as this work is confidential.
Additionally, after finishing this internship, I joined the bar committee of my study association (Lucid) as head of promotion. Within this function, I was able to continue developing my graphic design skills by designing posters and Facebook banners. These can be found below.
Finally, I decided to gain more experience within the field of graphic design by doing some work for friends or other students. This includes work for the debate association Chronos, a catering event and a sustainability symposium. After doing this work for friends, I started building a small business as a graphic designer. During my internship at Hunkemöller, I got acquainted with them and I was able to do some work for them too, mostly as a photography producer. I have also designed graphics for 'The Cocktailbox.'
