B 2.1

After more than a year of studying Industrial Design, I have discovered that I am most interested in the creative- and business sides of the study. I specifically find Marketing interesting. I want to learn what would be a reason for a customer to buy a certain product and become a loyal customer. I want to learn how to built a strong brand and company. These learning objectives were partly achieved in the first part of the USE learning line "New product development & marketing" during the course New Product Marketing.

This course taught me the foundations of marketing in regards to new products. Many Industrial Design courses are more practical, rather than theoretical. As this course is mostly studying marketing with a book, taking a more theoretical approach, this course taught me more than just marketing. It taught me a more scientific approach and taught me how to deal with a large amount of information and find the essence of the information.
